Our family and sports resort lies at 739 meters above sea level in the idyllic village of Feld am See surrounded by Carinthia's Nockberge mountains. In summer, the hiking and bikingtrails start right at your doorstep while in winter, the nearbyski resorts and ice-skating rinks around Brennseehof beckon guests with perfect conditions.

Warm water and hot ice

Tennis, biking, hiking. And a dip in the lake in between. In midsummer , the water of our Lake Brennsee reaches temperatures of up to 25 °C, making it a great place for sailing, surfing and kayaking. When the temperatures begin to fall in the winter months the crystal-clear water turns to ice and the lake becomes an enchanting outdoor arena for ice-skaters, ice-dancers and hockey players.

Hot tips for your journey to Feld am See

By car
From north follow the main route leads from Munich to Salzburg, continue towards Villach at the A10-Tauernautobahn to exit Spittal Nord/Millstättersee (Please note the exit is on the LEFT). Follow the main road towards Radenthein along Lake Millstättersee, past Radenthein and then towards Villach (roundabout straigt ahead).

Combine alternative routes with an excursion to Felbertauern Road, Großglockner High Alpine Road, Gastein motorail or Tauernpass and Katschbergstraße.

From south follow the A10-Tauernautobahn until exit Villach/Ossiachersee. Continue on the main road towards Ossiach/Feldkirchen until junction Treffen/Radenthein, Afritzersee and Feld am See.

By train
The train stations Spittal/Millstättersee and Villach are each around 25 km from our hotel. Give us your arrival time and we will pick you p directly from the station and taken to the hotel. This service is available for an extra charge (€ 40 per family/ride).

By plane
Flights to Carinthia are available from many international destinations at attractive rates. Easy and hassle-free. Direct connections are available from various European cities, such as Vienna, London or Cologne.

The nearest airports are Klagenfurt (60 km - for € 80/ ride) and Ljubljana (140 km – for € 180/ ride).
